What cookies and browser storage are

Cookies are small text entries a site stores in your browser. Browser storage (local storage and cache storage) is the same idea for larger or longer-lived items. Both stay on your device.

What we use

Grouped by what they do.

• Essential: your language choice, your light or dark theme, and the answer you gave the cookie notice, plus a few per-tab entries that vanish when the tab closes: a note that a run was in progress, so a crashed tab can be counted on your next visit, and the page to return to after signing in.
• Sign-in: our authentication provider's script runs on every page and sets one small cookie that only records that you are signed out. When you sign in for the Cloud it sets the session cookies that keep you signed in.
• Payments: the checkout pages of our payment provider set their own cookies while you pay. They are the provider's, on the provider's domain.
• Analytics: Google Analytics sets cookies to count visits, pages and feature use in aggregate. We use them to see which tools people use and where they get stuck.
• AI models: the tools that run an AI model on this device cache the model files in your browser's storage, so the next run does not download them again. These are program files, not data about you, and your browser lets you clear them like any site data.

What we do not use

There are no advertising cookies and no ad scripts on Remove Audio, and no cookie is used to follow you to other sites.

Managing cookies

You can clear or block cookies and site data in your browser settings at any time; a content blocker or your browser's tracking protection stops the analytics cookies too. Blocking the essential entries resets your language and theme; blocking the sign-in cookies signs you out of the Cloud. The tools on this device keep working either way.

Your files

Whatever you choose about cookies, a file you process on this device is never uploaded, and a file you send to the Cloud is handled as our privacy policy describes. Cookies have no access to either.
