Each one runs in your browser for free, with nothing uploaded. When a file is too big for your device, the same tool runs in the Cloud on our servers, for credits.
Why we built Remove Audio
Remove Audio started with a simple frustration: every time we needed to mute a clip, the options were bloated desktop software, sites that wanted the video uploaded first, or apps full of ads and watermarks.
Modern browsers can run serious media software on the device itself, so we built the tool that way: drop the file, the browser does the work, download the result. It grew from muting into converting, compressing and extracting, and then into AI tools that separate voices from music and clean noise off speech, still on the device.
Some files are bigger than a browser can hold, and some people want the speed of a real server. So every tool got a second side: the Cloud, where the same tool runs on our own servers and the result is kept for as long as you choose. Remove Audio is built and run by Code Master BV, a small team in Belgium.

Private by default
On this device your file never leaves your browser; processing and the download stay on your computer or phone. In the Cloud it goes to our servers alone, is deleted on the schedule you pick, and nobody looks at it.
Honest about the limits
A browser has a memory ceiling and an AI model has a speed. Every tool says what your device can take, and the Cloud is there for the rest, with its own limits written down.

The technology behind Remove Audio
The free tools are powered by FFmpeg.wasm, a WebAssembly port of the open-source multimedia framework professional studios use. When you drop a file, your browser loads a compact module that handles the processing locally.
The AI tools run their models on your device too: the separation model on your graphics card through WebGPU, the noise model on your processor through WebAssembly. The first run downloads the model, your browser caches it, and the audio never leaves the page.
The Cloud runs the very same software on our servers, on a dedicated machine for each job and several for a long one, with bigger limits and no dependence on your hardware. Your file is uploaded over an encrypted connection, processed, kept for the period you chose and then deleted.
